Junior Girl Scouts from Troop 32207 enlisted the help of Fletcher United Methodist Church to collect school supplies for those in need in the community. The girls made a poster and set-up a collection area in the narthex at the church. From the gererous support they received they were able to fill the requests received for help. The majority of the extra supplies were taken to the Miami East Elementary school where they will be passed out as needed to other children in the community. They also took notebook paper and pencils to the high school. Pictured with the girls is Mrs. Baker who helped the girls get the supplies put away.

Troop 31940's second annual Christmas Card Coloring Contest. The girls drew Christmas scenes for the Miami East Elementary students to color. They collected 344 cards and sent them to service personnel on Diego Garcia island in the Indian Ocean.

Cadette troop 30711 helps at the annual MS Walk in Troy.

After a day of helping out at the MS Walk in Troy during a particularly windy fall day, a Cadette troop feels satisfied but tired.

Girl Scouts have fun and form lifelong friendships.

Girl Scouts get together and support local women's sports teams. The annual Cookie Kick-Off is during basketball season and girls come to have fun and cheer on a local girls' basketball team at several universities.

Adult volunteers support each other by participating on the Service Team and organizing service unit events.

Ceremonies are an important part of the Girl Scout program. Here a Girl Scout lights candles representing the three parts of the Promise and the 10 parts of the Law.

Troy-Miami East Girl Scout Troops participate in several annual events including the Mall Lock-In. Troops spend time doing fun things during the evening.

Many events are organized by volunteers. Annual Mother-Daughter and Father-Daughter events are usually held. This was a Mother-Daughter Masquerade Ball held in 2007.

Girl Scout volunteers are eligible for recognitions - tangible ones like the Outstanding Leader award as well as smiles and hugs from the girls they work with.
