Troy-Miami East Girl Scout Troops
We have about 30 troops serving approximately 300 girls from Kindergarten through High School. Meeting times, places and intervals vary and are generally based on the leaders' availability. Some troops meet weekly but most meet one to three times a month. Some troops meet after school while others meet in the evening or on weekends. Troops meet in locations throughout the area including leaders' homes, churches, or community buildings.
Many troops participate in age appropriate activities outside normal meetings which may include day trips to locations within the community or overnight trips and camps. The number of activities planned depends on the readiness of the girls as well as troop resources and adult availability.

Service Project Ideas
Service is one of the four program goals of Girl Scouting. Girls are encouraged to contribute to the improvement of society and plan service projects to complete each year. Service can be provided on an individual, troop, service unit and/or council level. Troops can plan their own and/or participate in larger projects planned by TME. If you have an idea for a service project or know of an organization that could use our help, contact anyone on Service Team.
- Tab-A-Pull-Ooza: Collect pull tabs from aluminum cans (all kinds, not just soda/pop cans!) for the Ronald McDonald House. Turn them in once a month at the monthly leaders' meeting or save them and turn in at the May meeting. Your troop can also plan to attend the event with Terry at 2nd Street Market on May 19, 2012.
Check back often for updates to this list of local service unit projects with which your troop can help, and visit Girl Scouts of Western Ohio's website for additional information on Service Learning.
